Thermal Fiberglass Window Reinforcements
Our customers in the fenestration industry find that manufactured fiberglass reinforcements structurally strengthen their vinyl windows while providing better thermal performance than conventional aluminum inserts.
Tencom's reinforcements are custom-designed to integrate seamlessly into customers' existing window systems.
From a performance standpoint, one of the material's most notable attributes is its capacity to establish an effective thermal break in window and door systems. Although it provides the requisite structural integrity, conventional aluminum has high thermal conductivity, which can lead to undesirable thermal bridging, thereby diminishing the energy efficiency of the window system and the entire building.
Utilizing Tencom's Thermal Fiberglass Window Reinforcements increases the energy efficiency of window systems and is a wise business decision.
Tight tolerance of ±0.005" is held throughout the fabrication process.
The finished product ranges from 5" to 15' in length, with a thickness range of 0.060" to 0.250". This material can withstand temperatures from -50°F to 300°F. Fiberglass is quickly gaining popularity in construction due to its high strength-to-weight ratio and low thermal conductivity.
Tencom will work with customers to design structural replacements economically, maintaining or improving the strength and stability of the original parts.
The turnaround time for a project of this type is typically 6 - 8 weeks for tooling and 3 - 4 weeks for production.
